The basic principle underlying this advice is increasing ones body immunity so that there will be no virus attack & if not so it will be very mild & not life threatening. The following plants of common occurrence in Maharashtra & even around Pune are very effective for this purpose. 1)Gulvel (Tinosporacordifolia) stem fresh or dried. 2) Tulsi(Ocimum sanctum) . 3) Triphala churna ( a mix. ofAwalaHirda & Baheda.) 4)Aloe /Korpad(Aloe vera)Administration :- 1) Gulve stem if fresh 60 gm. or if dry 30 gm. roughly crushed in mortar & pestle & boiled in 200 ml. (one glass) of water on low flame to reduce it to 50 ml.(half of tea-cup) . This decoction (kadha) is filtered and taken as one dose early in the morning & another in the evening. It is continued for 10 days. (twice/day) . Then once in a day on alternate days until the threat of epidemic is over.2)Tulsileaves approximately 15 are taken (you may also add ginger, lemon grass, black pepper(mira),Clove etc. in small quantity) and boiled in 2 cups of water adding 2 tea spoons of sugar until it is one cup. It is filtered and given before going to bed.3) Triphala churna /powder one tea spoon is taken with Luke warm water at the bed time.
